Within only a few paces of The Abbey Hotel, one can cross a museum threshold and gain a thorough understand of the true culture of Tewkesbury and, it's development spanning over one thousand years  ...............

The Town Museum is housed in The Old Baptist Chapel which is believed to be one of the oldest in England and, maintains a wide ranging exhibition. The John Moore Museum on the other hand, displays matters of the countryside, often brought to life through a series of live animal days.

Evan the The Abbey Hotel could be considered a veritable treasure among the period buildings in the area, dating back to it's early days as 'large town house'.  However, in spite of the fact that the building harbours a 500 year well, the structure, being of a much later period, enjoys superior decor than adjacent properties.
